Stack up on your ultra balls since Moltres can show to be a tough catch in Pokemon Go.

Powering up a Pokemon requires fewer candies --- generally just one or two --- but also demands Stardust, which you can earn by catching Pokemon and by claiming Gyms. The half-circle meter that rests above your Pokemon shows how far along it will be to reach its full potential, but it's about your current amount. As a general rule of thumb, try and hold off on powering up your Pokemon too much before they are fully-evolved, as evolving is a better use of your candies. You're also more likely to find higher CP Pokemon the higher your level, and the more you play. So powering them up doesn't add too much value in the early phases of the game.

A coloured ring will appear around the Pokemon you're attempting to catch. Different colours denote the odds of catching the Pokemon, with green being the simplest and red the most troublesome.

In the lower-right corner of the screen, a small tab will display nearby Pokemon. Tapping this tab will open a window that reveals the approximate distance you are from all potential Pokemon in the area. The distance is represented by footsteps; 3Merely map means it is far, two is moderate, and one is close. This does not indicate direction, yet, so you'll need to pay attention to the changes in footsteps under each Pokemon's icon.

There's a rumor going around that if you overlook, you can tap on the Pokball while it is rolling on the ground to recover it. This has not been demonstrated, and many people have said that this doesn't work. Don't waste your time attempting to recover these balls.

Clicking on one of many nearby Pokemon icons will reveal you the distance to that special Pokemon. If you move your smartphone about in different ways, a green light will eventually flash around the white rectangle --- that shows the right direction to head to locate it. This can be a bit tricky seeing as the GPS is not always dependable. The pulsing rings around your trainer will change as you get closer to the Pokemon in question, and the footsteps will begin to decrease from 3 to 2, to 1, and to zero. Once they vanish, it means the Pokemon is right where you're.

Eventually, if you are having trouble catching the Pokemon due to its position on your own display, or you just do not desire to be pointing your phone at random angles to find them, turn off the AR mode. This can help make catching Pokemon easier notably while walking as they will remain centered on the screen amid a forest environment. This does lose some of the game's allure, but it pays to have equilibrium when you are trying capture that coveted Dragonite.

Different Pokemon developments need different numbers of candies. Evolving a Ghastly to Haunter, for example, just requires 25 Ghastly sweets, whereas evolving a Haunter to a Gengar will need another 100 Ghastly candies. Candies only come in fundamental Pokemon varieties and are rewarded for catching any Pokemon in a particular evolutionary chain. If you need to evolve a Magikarp to a Gyarados, you'll need a whopping 400 Magikarp candies. While capturing so many copies of exactly the same Pokemon may seem boring initially, it becomes addictive, particularly when you consider that evolving your Pokemon substantially raises their CP and HP, or Hit Points, making them more effective in battle.

You can feed Razz Berries to a Pokemon to allow it to be easier to find. Berries are a random drop from Pokestops and a reward for raising your trainer level. Use them by tapping on the back pack icon when trying to catch a Pokemon.

Pokemon will occasionally move to avoid Pokeballs, or even use an assault to deflect them. Pay attention to their movements so you do not waste too many Pokeballs attempting to get them.

As you hold down the Pokball, the coloured ring will go from large to small. You may also chuck a curveball by holding down on the pokball and moving it left and right before you throw it. It's a lot harder to catch a Pokemon in this way, but you'll get more points.

You'd be forgiven if you thought that once you have found one copy of a Pokemon, you are all set. The only way to power up and evolve your Pokemon is by feeding them sweets and Stardust, which are accumulated by catching Pokemon, finding Pokemon, and by transferring them to Professor Willow. Be cautious, though. Transferring them is not reversible; you will not be able to get transferred Pokemon back. Only deposit the feebler extras of exactly the same Pokemon, and hold on to the most powerful one.

Evolving your Pokemon is among the primary targets of the game, but it takes effort. To evolve, say, an Eevee, you are going to want 50 Eevee sweets. Every Eevee you capture nets you three candies, and transferring them grants you another per transferred Pokemon. So, for each extra Eevee you capture and transfer, you get four candies, meaning you will have to find about 13 Eevees in complete to evolve merely one.

The whole point of Pokemon Go is to capture Pokemon --- and you will find plenty of the critters while out and about. When one appears, your phone will vibrate, and you'll see them on the map. Solicit them to start the capture sequence, which will demand you to flick Pokeballs (or great balls and ultra balls) at the Pokemon in your display. Below are some tips about how exactly to successfully capture them.
