What I liked most about playing Pokemon Go was that I logged nearly 5,000 steps while playing. Yes, people do get a substantial amount of exercise while playing. But, folks continue to be glued to their telephones, obsessively staring at their telephone display looking for the next Pokemon.

For the previous week or so, all I have seen on social media sites are folks posting about playing Pokemon Go. So many people have been saying, "This is the game I Have been waiting for my whole life," or "I used to play Pokemon as a child and now I get to play it as a twenty-year-old who has nothing better to do on a Tuesday night," or "It Is lots of fun and an excellent means to get out of the house." As the devoted writer, I am, I desired to compose an article about it. But of course, that would mean I'd need to play. I didn't desire to play this Pokemon game. I've never once in my life had the want to play anything that has to do with Pokemon. For the sake of this post, though, I tossed all of those thoughts aside and walked around for an hour and a half trying to figure out this Pokemon craze.

The Pokemon card game is quite popular with kids. You may not think that that has anything whatsoever to do with robots, but if you let your logic go a little 'fuzzy' I believe we can see robotic theories in all life- that in fact machines were meant to replace things people do and robot 'humanizes' the machine even more because of wider parameters. Similarly, we get the stats on a Pokemon, and it's rather like a robot. But that is not so in the imagination. In the imagination it's something living. And if we do something to it like make it shiny (shiny daikon cards), it becomes even more valuable and living. The question is this then: in a networking game like Second Life are you a robot? Will Pokemon ever become real?

It simply does not make a lot of sense to me how extreme folks got when I played. It is almost like the hundreds of folks in downtown Springfield, Missouri, had seen a tweet saying, "There're a thousand dollars someplace downtown, go find it!" or "Beyonce is in downtown Springfield. Go locate her!" Because all of a sudden, I'd see a group of four teenage boys running down the street, telephones in hand. Clearly, no. Those boys were not after cash or Beyonce. They weren't after anything tangible, anything with a genuine benefit or result, for that matter.

If the dream behind a game is powerful enough, it can bring about spinoffs. Conversely, something that is popular like Ultraman can lead to a game. But games normally remain games and playthings stay toys. Pokemon has seen really great spinoff (though it is not taking the world by storm) because of its fascinating notion.

I began by walking around downtown Springfield, Missouri, with a buddy. My buddy is really into Pokemon Go. He's spent the last week walking around parks and sites through the city attempting to capture unfamiliar virtual creatures. He tried to teach me how.

Geeks design and fight their 'bots' with an extremely strong egotism: they designed the robot; they're comparing their skill against their competition's. When a premise, or story, is place into a game that all changes. Pokemon are robots to be sure, but the user didn't design them- computer game geeks did. So it becomes a fantasy world where the item would be to get the best Pokemon that one can use it 'attribute' to the best of one's ability. When losing, one can practically feel that the Pokemon let him down, was not strong enough, or whatever. He may blame himself partly, but not totally.

Pokemon enthusiasts throughout the world may shun me, but my judgment is that I still do not understand the craze. I don't comprehend how people do not get bored with it after a few minutes and how they get so enthusiastic about comical-looking characters on an app. I don't comprehend why anyone would spend time on something ridiculous like Pokemon Go. That said, it is not my place to tell the world to stop doing what they love. If you desire to play, then play. But I, for one, will not.

All I grabbed in the hour and a half of playing is that you walk around aimlessly as your avatar on the Pokemon Go app walks to PokeStops, where you can potentially catch a Pokemon. If a Pokemon appears, you must throw a virtual Poke Ball at it to get it. Then you definitely walk and walk and walk some more to catch more Pokemon. Seemingly, you sometimes can snitch Pokemon from other people and have conflicts with other users also. That component is over my head.

Not many are aware of this perhaps (or maybe you're!) but almost every computer game we play is an application of robotic software technology. That is, the icons you see, and maneuver are software settings with set parameters. It cannot go beyond those parameters simply because that's the constraint of its programming. Very often, actually, 'updating' doesn't include adding a brand new function to an existing thing, but rather just replacing it in its entirety and downloading its memory from the game's database.

The three Legendary Pokémon GO in Greenwood WA work as the mascots for Teams Instinct, Mystic, and Valor, and we saw Mewtwo in a trailer for the game, but we've had no concrete info on which Legendaries are in the game and how we go about capturing them. NesstendoYT on YouTube has been searching around in the game's files and discovered Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres therein, as well as Ditto, who does not appear to have been found out in the wild yet. Evaluating by the ingress and the trailer app's live events, it's likely that Legendary pokémon will appear at special occasions in various countries with the groups competing in a comparable method to the Ingress events.
