What I enjoyed most about playing Pokemon Go was that I logged nearly 5,000 measures while playing. Yes, people do get a significant quantity of exercise while playing. But, individuals are still glued to their phones, obsessively staring at their telephone screen trying to find the next Pokemon.

For the past week or so, all I have seen on social media sites are folks posting about playing Pokemon Go. As the serious writer, I am, I needed to compose an article about it. But of course, that would mean I would have to play. I didn't want to play this Pokemon game. I 've never once in my life had the desire to play anything that has to do with Pokemon. For the sake of this article, though, I pitched all of those ideas aside and walked around for an hour and a half attempting to figure out this Pokemon craze.

The Pokemon card game is very popular with children. You may not believe that that's anything at all to do with robots, but if you let your sense go a little 'fuzzy' I believe we can see robotic notions in all life- that in fact machines were meant to replace things humans do and robot 'humanizes' the machine even more because of more extensive parameters. Similarly, we get the stats on a Pokemon, and it is rather like a robot. But that is not so in the imagination. In the imagination it's something alive. And if we do something to it like make it shiny (glistening daikon cards), it becomes even more valuable and alive. The question is this then: in a networking game like Second Life are you a robot?

It only doesn't make a lot of sense to me how intense people got when I played. It is almost like the hundreds of folks in downtown Springfield, Missouri, had viewed a tweet saying, "There're a thousand dollars someplace downtown, go find it!" or "Beyonce is in downtown Springfield. Go locate her!" Because all of a sudden, I'd see a group of four teenaged boys running down the road, phones in hand. Clearly, no. Those lads were not after cash or Beyonce. They weren't after anything real, anything with a genuine benefit or outcome, for that matter.

If the fantasy behind a game is strong enough, it can result in spinoffs. Conversely, something that's popular like Ultraman can lead to a game. But games typically remain games and toys stay playthings. Pokemon has seen really great spinoff (though it is not taking the world by storm) because of its fascinating concept.

I started by walking around downtown Springfield, Missouri, with a friend. My friend is very into Pokemon Go. He's spent the last week walking around parks and sites throughout the city trying to capture strange virtual creatures. He tried to teach me how.

The imagination is a funny thing. Geeks design and fight their 'bots' with an extremely strong ego: they designed the robot; they're matching their skill against their competition's. When a premise, or narrative, is put into a game that all changes. Pokemon are robots to be sure, but the user didn't design them- computer game geeks did. So it becomes a fantasy world where the object is to get the finest Pokemon that one can use it 'attribute' to the best of one's ability. When losing, one can practically feel that the Pokemon let him down, wasn't strong enough, or whatever. He may blame himself partly, but not entirely.

Pokemon enthusiasts throughout the world may shun me, but my conclusion is that I still do not understand the craze. I don't understand how folks do not get bored with it after a few minutes and how they get so passionate about comical-looking characters on an app. I don't comprehend why anyone would spend time on something stupid like Pokemon Go. That said, it is not my place to tell the world to cease doing what they love. If you desire to play, then play. But I, for one, will not.

If a Pokemon appears, you've got to throw a virtual Poke Ball at it to capture it. Then you definitely walk and walk and walk some more to catch more Pokemon. Apparently, you sometimes can snitch Pokemon from others and have conflicts with other users also. That component is over my head.

Not many are conscious of this perhaps (or maybe you are!) but nearly every computer game we play is an use of robotic applications technology. That's, the icons you see, and maneuver are software computer configurations with set parameters. It cannot go beyond those parameters just because that is the constraint of its programming. Very often, in fact, 'updating' will not involve adding a new function to an existing entity, but rather merely replacing it in its entirety and downloading its memory from the game's database.

The three Legendary Pokémon GO in Bobinawarrah VIC serve as the mascots for Teams Instinct, Mystic, and Valor, and we saw Mewtwo in a trailer for the game, but we've had no concrete information on which Legendaries are in the game and how we tackle catching them. NesstendoYT on YouTube has been rummaging around in the game's files and discovered Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in there, in addition to Ditto, who doesn't appear to have been identified out in the wild yet. Evaluating by the ingress and the trailer app's live occasions, it's most likely that Legendary pokémon will appear at special occasions in different nations with the teams contending in a similar method to the Ingress occasions.
