What I liked most about playing Pokemon Go was that I logged almost 5,000 steps while playing. Yes, people do get a significant quantity of exercise while playing. But, individuals continue to be glued to their telephones, obsessively staring at their phone screen trying to find the next Pokemon.

For the previous week or so, all I have seen on social media websites are people posting about playing Pokemon Go. So many folks have been saying, "This is the game I Have been waiting for my whole life," or "I used to play Pokemon as a child and now I get to play it as a twenty-year-old who has nothing better to do on a Tuesday night," or "It Is lots of pleasure and a great means to get out of the house." As the devoted writer, I 'm, I desired to write an article about it. But of course, that would mean I'd need to play. I did not want to play this Pokemon game. I've never once in my life had the want to play anything that has to do with Pokemon. For the sake of this article, however, I tossed all of those ideas away and walked around for an hour and a half attempting to figure out this Pokemon craze.

The Pokemon card game is quite popular with kids. You may not think that that's anything in any way to do with robots, but if you let your sense go a little 'fuzzy' I think we can see robotic concepts in all life- that in fact machines were meant to replace things humans do and robot 'humanizes' the machine even more because of broader parameters. So we can speak of a baseball player as a robot (pitches this quick, had this many hits, weighs this much, is this tall, etc.) and trade cards. Similarly, we get the stats on a Pokemon, and it is rather like a robot. But that's not so in the imagination. In the imagination it is something alive. And if we do something to it like ensure it is gleaming (glossy daikon cards), it becomes even more valuable and living. But the bottom line truth to all computer games is that they are robots. The question is this then: in a networking game like Second Life are you a robot? Will Pokemon ever become real?

It simply doesn't make lots of sense to me how intense people got when I played. Go find her!" Because all of a sudden, I'd see a group of four adolescent boys running down the street, telephones in hand. Clearly, no. Those boys weren't after cash or Beyonce. They weren't after anything real, anything with a genuine reward or result, for that matter.

If the fantasy behind a game is powerful enough, it can result in spinoffs. Conversely, something that's popular like Ultraman can result in a game. But games normally remain games and playthings stay playthings. Pokemon has seen very great spinoff (though it's not taking the world by storm) because of its interesting notion. This is where the robot is left behind, and the human imagination begins to reach out and explore.

I started by walking around downtown Springfield, Missouri, with a friend. My buddy is really into Pokemon Go. He has spent the last week walking around parks and sites through the city trying to get unfamiliar virtual creatures. He tried to teach me how.

The imagination is a funny thing. Geeks design and fight their 'bots' with a very powerful ego: they designed the robot; they are pitting their skill against their competitor's. When a assumption, or narrative, is place into a game that all changes. So it becomes a fantasy world at which object is really to get the greatest Pokemon that one can use it 'attribute' to the best of one's ability. When losing, one can nearly believe that the Pokemon let him down, wasn't powerful enough, or whatever. He may blame himself partially, but not entirely.

Pokemon enthusiasts through the world may shun me, but my conclusion is that I still do not understand the craze. I do not understand how people do not get bored with it after a few minutes and how they get so passionate about funny-looking characters on an app. I do not understand why anyone would spend time on something stupid like Pokemon Go. That being said, it's not my place to tell the world to quit doing what they love. If you desire to play, then play. But I, for one, will not.

All I grasped in the hour and a half of playing is that you walk around aimlessly as your avatar on the Pokemon Go app walks to PokeStops, where you can potentially catch a Pokemon. If a Pokemon appears, you've got to throw a virtual Poke Ball at it to capture it. Then you walk and walk and walk some more to get more Pokemon. Apparently, you occasionally can steal Pokemon from other people and have battles with other users as well. That component is over my head.

Not many are conscious of this perhaps (or perhaps you are!) but virtually every computer game we play is an application of robotic software technology. That's, the icons you see, and maneuver are program settings with set parameters. It cannot go beyond those parameters just because that's the limitation of its programming. Frequently, in fact, 'upgrading' will not involve adding a brand new function to an existing entity, but instead merely replacing it in its entirety and downloading its memory from the game's database.

The three Legendary Pokémon GO in Tamborine Mountain QLD act as the mascots for Teams Instinct, Mystic, and Valor, and we saw Mewtwo in a trailer for the game, but we've had no concrete details on which Legendaries are in the game and how we tackle catching them. NesstendoYT on YouTube has been searching around in the game's files and discovered Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in there, as well as Ditto, who does not appear to have actually been found out in the wild. Evaluating by the trailer and the Ingress app's live events, it's most likely that Legendary pokémon will appear at special events in different nations with the groups competing in a similar method to the Ingress occasions.
