What I liked most about playing Pokemon Go was that I logged almost 5,000 steps while playing. Yes, folks do get a significant quantity of exercise while playing. But, folks continue to be glued to their phones, obsessively staring at their telephone display trying to find the next Pokemon.

For the previous week or so, all I have seen on social media websites are folks posting about playing Pokemon Go. As the enthusiastic writer, I am, I desired to write an article about it. But of course, that would mean I would have to play. I didn't want to play this Pokemon game. I've never once in my life had the desire to play anything that's to do with Pokemon. For the benefit of this article, though, I chucked all of those ideas away and walked around for an hour and a half trying to figure out this Pokemon craze.

The Pokemon card game is really popular with kids. You may not believe that that's anything at all to do with robots, but if you let your logic go a little 'fuzzy' I think we can see robotic concepts in all life- that in fact machines were meant to replace things individuals do and robot 'humanizes' the machine even more because of broader parameters. Similarly, we get the stats on a Pokemon, and it's rather like a robot. But that is not so in the imagination. In the imagination it's something alive. And if we do something to it like make it glossy (gleaming daikon cards), it becomes even more valuable and alive. But the bottom line truth to all computer games is that they are robots. The question is this then: in a networking game like Second Life are you a robot? Will Pokemon ever become real?

It only does not make a lot of sense to me how intense people got when I played. It's nearly like the hundreds of folks in downtown Springfield, Missouri, had viewed a tweet saying, "There're a thousand dollars someplace downtown, go find it!" or "Beyonce is in downtown Springfield. Go locate her!" Because all of a sudden, I Had see a group of four teenage boys running down the street, telephones in hand. Obviously, no. Those boys weren't after cash or Beyonce. They were not after anything concrete, anything with a real reward or result, for that matter.

If the dream behind a game is powerful enough, it can result in spinoffs. Conversely, something that's popular like Ultraman can lead to a game. But games usually remain games and playthings stay playthings. Pokemon has seen really great spinoff (though it is not taking the world by storm) because of its fascinating notion. This is where the robot is left behind, and the human imagination starts to reach out and explore.

I started by walking around downtown Springfield, Missouri, with a buddy. My friend is very into Pokemon Go. He has spent the last week walking around parks and sites throughout the city attempting to get strange virtual creatures. He attempted to teach me how.

The original Pokemon game ported to Game Boy as 'Pocket Monsters' was a pretty straightforward and regular 'fighting bot' game that became popular. Geeks design and fight their 'bots' with an extremely powerful ego: they designed the robot; they are matching their skill against their competitor's. When a premise, or story, is place into a game that all changes. So it becomes a fantasy world at which object is to obtain the best Pokemon that one can use it 'feature' to the best of one's ability. When losing, one can practically feel that the Pokemon let him down, wasn't strong enough, or whatever. He may blame himself partially, but not entirely.

Pokemon enthusiasts through the world may shun me, but my judgment is that I still don't understand the craze. I do not understand how folks do not get bored with it after a few minutes and how they get so enthusiastic about funny-looking characters on an app. I do not comprehend why anyone would spend time on something stupid like Pokemon Go. That said, it is not my place to tell the world to cease doing what they love. If you want to play, then play. But I, for one, will not.

If a Pokemon appears, you have to throw a virtual Poke Ball at it to get it. Then you walk and walk and walk some more to get more Pokemon. Apparently, you sometimes can steal Pokemon from other folks and have conflicts with other users too. That part is over my head.

Not many are aware of this maybe (or perhaps you're!) but almost every computer game we play is an application of robotic software technology. That is, the icons you see, and play are program configurations with set parameters. It cannot go beyond those parameters just because that is the constraint of its programming. Very often, actually, 'upgrading' does not include adding a brand new function to an existing thing, but rather merely replacing it in its entirety and downloading its memory from the game's database.

The 3 Legendary Pokémon GO in Sandy Beach NSW function as the mascots for Teams Instinct, Mystic, and Valor, and we saw Mewtwo in a trailer for the game, but we've had no concrete details on which Legendaries remain in the game and how we go about capturing them. NesstendoYT on YouTube has been searching around in the game's files and discovered Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in there, as well as Ditto, who does not appear to have been spotted out in the wild. Evaluating by the trailer and the Ingress app's live events, it's likely that Legendary pokémon will appear at unique events in different nations with the teams contending in a similar method to the Ingress events.
